Hello! My name is Kitty and I am a third year student at The Ohio State University in the College of Education and Human Ecology. I am studying to become a high school science teacher with a focus on life and earth sciences education. I feel very passionately about education, and I see it as my life’s purpose. As William Butler Yeats said, “education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire”. I am very excited to learn more about native Ohio plants and I hope that I can apply things that I learn in this class in my future classroom.
Outside of school, I enjoy playing video games, baking, and playing with my two cats, Marvin and Tybalt.
